Tours that are outside of Ica, but nearby
Highlights include: the Ballestas Islands (las Islas Ballestas) in Paracas National Reserve, filled with hundreds of thousands of wild birds, sea lions, and penguins; the mysterious and world-famous Nazca Lines which are only visible from airplanes; white water rafting down a fierce river in Lunahuana and visiting beautiful waterfalls and green lagoons in the Yauyos region of Peru's sierra between Huancaya and Vilca.
Activities in Ica and Huacachina that don't require a tour
Highlights include: sunbathing or swimming in the numerous pools near the oasis, dancing the night away in a discoteca (dance club), and visiting a museum with many genuine mummies preserved by the heat and dryness of the Ica desert
